Permanent & Landscape Lighting Questions, Answered
How it works, how long it lasts, what to expect on install day, how to get ready, timing, and how the free estimate works.
How it works
What is permanent roofline lighting?
LED lights mounted along your roofline or gutter line that stay up all year. You pick colors, patterns and schedules from an app on your phone, and change them whenever you want.
How does the free estimate work?
Call or fill out the estimate form. In Colorado, Chris comes to your home; in Montana, Beau does. They look at your roofline, gutter line and yard, talk through what you want lit, and give you an estimate for your home. The estimate is free.
Who installs the lights?
In Colorado, the A Visible Difference crew, the same people who already work on gutters and fascia around Colorado Springs. In Montana, Beau handles your project himself, from the first walk-around to getting your lights set up in the app.
How do I control the lights?
From an app on your phone. Pick a color or pattern for a holiday, game day or birthday, set everyday warm white, or put the lights on a schedule.
How does landscape lighting work?
We install low-voltage lights around the yard: path lights along walkways and steps, uplighting on trees and the front of your home, and accent and security lighting for dark corners and entries.
How long it lasts
Do I have to take the lights down after the holidays?
No. Permanent lights are made to stay up year-round. You just change what they show.
Can you see the lights during the day?
They're mounted along the roofline or gutter line, so they're nearly invisible by day.
How long will the system last, and is there a warranty?
Warranty coverage, and what to expect from the system over time, are explained at your free estimate so you get the details for your specific install.
What to expect
What happens on install day?
The crew mounts the lights along your roofline or gutter line. When they're done, we help you get the lights set up in the app so you can start picking colors and schedules.
How long does the install take?
It depends on how much roofline you're lighting and how the house is built. Chris (Colorado) or Beau (Montana) will tell you what to expect when they give your estimate.
How should I get ready?
Not much is needed. Make sure the crew can get to the roofline and gutters, for example by moving vehicles out of the way, and keep pets inside while they work. We'll talk through where the system will plug in at your estimate.
Timing, cost and payment
When should I schedule?
Any time of year. A lot of people want their lights ready before the holidays, so reaching out earlier in the fall gives you more choice of install dates.
What does it cost?
Every home is different, so we don't publish set prices. You get a free estimate based on your roofline and what you want lit.
How do I pay?
In Colorado, 50% down to schedule, and we accept Venmo, Cash App, Chime, Cash, Check. In Montana, Beau goes over payment at your estimate.
Where do you work?
Colorado's Front Range (Colorado Springs, Monument, Castle Rock and nearby) and anywhere in Montana.
